If it doesn't then you're not thinking.

The teachings of any Christian sect are unbelievable on the face of it. Here's what Christianity teaches that God thinks:

"Since I am all-knowing I know exactly what the humans are doing and I understand exactly why they commit each sin. Since I created the humans in my own image and personally programmed human nature into their brains, I am the direct author of all of this sin. The instant I created them I knew exactly what would happen with every single human being right down to the nanosecond level for all eternity. If I didn't like how it was going to turn out, I could have simply changed them when I created them. And since I am perfect, I know exactly what I am doing. But ignore all that. I hate all these people doing exactly what I perfectly designed them to do and knew they would do from the moment I created them. I HATE IT! I tried killing all the humans and animals once in the flood. That certainly did not fix the problem.

So here's what I am going to do. I will artificially inseminate a virgin. She will give birth to an incarnated version of me. The humans will eventually crucify and kill the incarnated me. That, finally, will make me happy. "

All religion is myth, invented by humans to try to explain life when they didn't have a very good understanding of the universe, and to try to make themselves feel better about their inevitable death.

The New Age stuff is just as bad, just as made-up, only it's more feel-good.

When you finally realize that it's all a lot of baloney and give up religion, you'll feel an immense relief. I know I did.

No. Religious Science. It's very open at the top. Most people there believe in the afterlife - but I'm not sure about it - and everybody is cool with that.

There was one guy there - in a class with me - and he didn't believe in God. It was pretty much because he thought of God as "Big Daddy in the Sky" judging him - and sending him to hell - etc. Once he got it through his head that God is a Power - he started believing - and seeing God. But until that time - nobody forced anything on him. We'd explain to him how we saw it - and we knew he was a FABULOUS person - no matter what Spiritual path (or none) he might choose.

I *DO* think that in order to be a member of the church - you have to state that you believe that there is only one God. But other than that -it's very open and accepting. And anybody - member or not - is welcome there.

Yes, the Catholic Church does ask us to believe things some people can't swallow. For me, a big one is that Mary was always a virgin. I'm sorry but she was married - I'm sure she had sex.

But the thing is that these aren't GOD's laws; they're human laws. And it isn't as if you're going to get kicked out of the church for not believing... just don't go around making a big deal out of it.

Don't follow any Church.

Follow the bible.

If your Church can't prove it to according to the bible without a doubt, then...

Take your freedom that God gave you and use it to research the truth.

You should never follow man or believe something just because a group of people believe.

MOST CHURCHES EXCEPT YOU TO BELIEVE EVERYTHING THAT THEY DO. Or Else you don't have the "Light" of Understanding.

Don't believe the hype. Believe the bible, and watch out for man's interpretation. Somethings just can't be fully explained.

That why we have grace, but don't use it to spread "truths" that you yourself aren't even sure. Then you might be found to be a liar.

No. Everyone is in a constant state of learning no matter what church they belong to whether you like it or not. What I believed as a child is now different from my understanding today . I used to believe in reincarnation, but that was in a past life.

Yes, my church demanded that I believe in transubstantiation (the belief that the Eucharist and wine actually ARE the body and blood of Christ in physical form) and that's when I really started asking questions.

Sometimes. For instance, I have never truly understood why birth control is a sin. Yes, it's been explained to me, but I still can't say that I buy the explanation. I feel that willfully overpopulating the planet would be the real sin.

Does any church do so? Yes, there are teachings that we are to learn, teachings that can be accepted or rejected as well as a Person who can be accepted or rejected.

I've not found that my church has asked me to accept any teaching that I could not accept.

No. My church expects you to confirm all things. Acts 17:11

Examples? Hmmm. Can't think of any. I confirm all things according to scripture.
