They kept the true sabbath, why wouldn't they? Jesus kept the true sabbath. It got changed to Sunday by Constantine in order to make it easier to convert pagans, because Sunday was the day they worshipped their fake gods. And no, I don't believe "honor the sabbath and keep it holy" means, "or change it to Sunday if it's more convenient". There are many excuses for it in the christian church, I even bought it until I actually read the bible and did some research and discovered what happened. The main excuse is that they changed it because Christ rose on Sunday, which is why we celebrate Easter, it has nothing to do with the sabbath. They'll hold to their Sunday sabbath though, doesn't matter if they're breaking the commandment or not, they seem to think that Jesus coming means the commandments are no longer necessary, that "love each other" is the only commandment. As He said, He came not to change the law, but to fulfill it.

Jesus said that the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. He also said that he was Lord of the Sabbath. What Jesus was saying when the Pharasees and the Scribes were trying to condemn Him for healing on the Sabbath was that the fullinging the needs of others was more important than the letter of the law. The intent of the law was not to do the ordinary things such as work for pay etc, but looking out for others and helping others in the time of need is more important. The intent of the law is more important than the letter of the law.

According to Jesus' actions and answers to the Pharisees and Saducees about this topic, they kept the intent of the Sabbath, but not the technical rules pertaining to the Sabbath that were created by the human rulers of the Jewish religion.

I believe they kept the Saturday Sabbath. Remember, early Christians were simply a small sect of peculiar Jews.

yes They kept the Sabbath holy and ministered to people as disciples should. Just like disciples of Christ that Christians are today.............they ministered tried to make people believers. It is one of the 10 commandments and I am sure that Jesus wouldn't have ordained them as disciples if they were going to blatantly ignore one of the 10 commandments. They kept the 7th day as God commanded.
