The school should give you a check for that amount of overpayment and you can do whatever you'd like with it. You could also give it back to your bank you got the loan through. Just less to pay back when you graduate...

Read the fine print for you financial aid. You maybe able to use the additional money for books or room and board. You might even be able to use it for school supplies, like a new computer. Read the fine print just to make sure though.

You can use the rest for books/supplies. After that you will get a refund check. You could also talk to your financial aid advisor about getting less money- that will be less money you owe.

First answer is stupid, financial help is oftentimes extra effective than classes with the intention to help scholars pay for books, room and board, and so on. additionally, scholarships and provides are the final issues taken away via the bursar's place of work, loans are the 1st.

Can't you use the rest for whatever? Like books and just living expenses? Then again, I think you can decline anything you don't need, but I don't know many people who have done that, for obvious reasons...

After you have attend school for a certain amount of days ( usu. after drop date) your school will either issue you a check for the difference or will put on your school card.
