I went to a restaurant where I had regular cheese ravioli, but it came with this buttery, garlicky, sweet sauce. It's hard to explain. I know I'll never find it but if anyone can recommend any good sauces that go well over cheese ravioli. I'd appreciate full recipes. Thanks in advance.

May be 4formaggi?
PASTA AI 4 FORMAGGI
1 lb. pasta preferably a short type
1/4 cup creamy Italian gorgonzola cheese
1/4 cup cubed Fontina cheese
1/4 cup Ricotta cheese
1/4 cup fresh grated Italian parmesan
2 Tbsp. heavy cream
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
Cook the pasta as directed.
A few minutes before the pasta is ready melt all the other ingredients in a nonstick sauce pan over a medium low heat. If it gets dry add a little bit of milk.
Drain the pasta, put it back in the pan and fold in the cheese cream. Combine well and serve immediately.
Or the more simply Butter and parmigiano.. Is it possible?
In Italy we eat often Ravioli gnocchi and other fresh egg pasta with butter and parmiggiano
Melt some butter in a small pan. Put butter sauce on ravioli and sprinkle with Parmigiano.

Was this sauce a creamy sauce? Or was it just an olive-oil type of sauce?
You can put some garlic cloves with some chopped fresh sage leaves in a pan with some olive oil on medium heat and the garlic will get all nutty/sweet/roasted and infuse into the oil and the sage will add a nice woodsy/earthy flavor to the oil. Add a pat of butter in the end to finish it off and put on your cheese ravioli. Top your finished ravioli with fresh grated parmesan and sweet basil leaves. It's delicious!

The sauce was probably olive oil, fresh chopped garlic, butter, some heavy cream, fresh Parmesan cheese and the sweet taste may have been a touch of nutmeg.
