Theres a really nice girl down my gym but....?

Question

How do i get talking to her without sounding:

1. Cheesy
2. Sleazy
3. Like a rapist

Ideally i would like to know a way of initiating a "natural" conversation with her - i dont want to say something that sounds forced, like: "Why we do it to ourselves!" or "It never... gets... any...... easier".

Small chat. Just talk to her about the weather or sports one day. It could be about anything. Maybe write some ideas down beforehand, that way you won't stammer and not have anything to say.

If she doesn't want to talk, you'll know. Don't force it out of her. That's where it'll end up making you look like a rapist! She might just be having a rough day.

If she does talk to you (as I presume she would, considering you say she's 'really nice'), I would just slowing start talking to her each day (or however often you visit the gym) and become friends.

Why not just break the ice by asking if she knows what time the gym is open to at night or something or leave your locker key on purpose on a machine she is going to use!

Just say "Alright?" and smile at her. She'll smile back and you just say whatever comes into your head that you think would make her laugh, using your judgement based on the picture you've built up of her in your head man. If she listens to music just ask her what she's listening to and say you like it and hopefully back that claim up with a bit of knowledge and stuff. Or chat about whatever they show on the TV in there if you see she's taking notice of something particular. And really quite early on after a little bit of chat say "Hi, I'm (whatever your name is) by the way, nice to meet you", and she'll just think you're this friendly guy down the gym and you'll say hi next time and aske what you do and stuff. Hell, i don't know, it's just however you do it man, just be confident, they dig that man. Good luck.

hahaha I'm pretty sure unless you ask her if she wants to join in the alleyway she is not going to think your a rapist.
The only way to start a natural conversation is to not think about what you're going to say. If you practice it in your head then one of two things is going to happen
A) it will sound forced
B) you will probably never get it out of your mouth.

Try acting like you've known her forever. Everybody loves talking to personable people. Just sit down next to her like it was a nice place to sit, wait a second, and say. " Hi, I'm ( insert name)" and then start talking about whatever is on your mind. talk her like you would a very close friend and she will always want to talk to you.

I think saying something like why do we do it to ourselves or it never gets any easier is fine! You passing the time of day with her. Earlier I was at a petrol station and a guy pulled up with the same car as me, even in the same colour! And he was like snap and I said yours is cleaner than mine your putting me to shame! Thats the way to spark up a conversation!!

Forget talking. Try smiling at her. If she returns the smile then you have a chance. Don't act like you are in a hurry. Chances are she's already noticed you too.

The worst thing is to use rehearsed lines when talking to her. That'll make you sound like a total jerk.
