I have a nearly brand new Nikon Coolpix S7c digital camera and am currently having trouble with it. I got home from the beach, after taking pictures and enjoying the water, and put the pictures onto my computer. However, when I took the camera off of the dock it resumed to stay on. The problem lies here; After I took it off the dock and tried to turn it off, it won't. Even when I try to press all the other buttons and try to take pictures, nothing happens. Also, there is a grayish tint to the color on the LCD, rather than normal color. Lastly, the LCD turned off once, but the on/off indicator kept flashing intermittently and I still could not do anything. The gist of it is, the camera stays on and I can't turn it off or do anything with it. I have to take the battery out in order to shut it off. Any helpful response would be appreciated.

I'm guessing the camera got damaged by heat, water or sand. Is it still under warranty? If so, then take it back to where you bought it for warranty repair. If not, then expect to pay for repair. There's no way to fix digital cameras yourself.
