In the UK a paper round is the only thing legally you can do and get payed for,but you can get around this there are other jobs like washing neighbours cars, baby sitting ,gardening etc but not officially for money.

Labor laws for minors are very complicated in the US your best bet is to contact the school and talk to the office that deals with work permits which are required for a minor to hold a job. There are 3 parts of a work permit, a parent form, a doctors form (they have to be healthy) and an employers form. All three must be complete and turned into the school. Then the employer gets the actual work permit and the minor can legally begin to work. When a child is 15 they can do little legally and the hours as well as the duration are limited. Frankly paper routes, lawn work, babysitting and odd jobs for neighbors will net him more work and more money.

He can try local businesses, like Library stuff or small town shops. Some stores only hire 18+, because they don't want to deal with working papers.
Maybe he should offer a service, like dog walking, or gardening? Or he could start a small camp-ish thing for local friends, charge 20 bucks, play sports, watch movies, give out snacks, and have fun making some cash.

I'm not sure, apart from paper round maybe help the milkman!
Failing that you could ask the family if they have any jobs that they would like doing, things they have been putting off.
This would lighten their load and give your son some extra money. Its great to hear he wants to earn money at that age,you have certainly brought him up well.
Hope that helps.

yes they can they can only work 16 hours tho, i know they can do a majority of stuff, shop work, hairdressin, glass collector (weekend days only). they can also do trainee jobs. i dont think they can do work that involves food or machinery due to insurance purposes. when the 14yr old applys for a job ushould ask what the minimum age is for the insurance where they work as its in there best interest to know as well. hope this helps xx

Most areas the age you can start work is 16..Fast food mainly...Since he is still quite young...If he likes to yard mow,get him to ask around the neighborhood if they have any chores for him to do...He may earn some extra cash that way..Good Luck
