The national personal records in st. louis doesn't have my 214. What is a VA.

If you spent more than six months on active duty, you will be issued a DD214. If not, then you don't have an RE code because you never served on an active duty status.
However the National Records Center in St. Louis has your records now, and can provide you any information you need.

go to the website for the national personnel records center (google it) they have an online form that you can send in to get your 214

Check with your local VA. Someone knowledgeable there should be able to help you out.

Go to this website and you can get your DD214 replaced. Call the number and they can walk you through it and answer any questions. When ever you need PROFESSIONAL HELP go to the PROFESSIONALS.
