There are three levels of Holy Orders, Deacon, Priest, and Bishop.
Bishops are the Apostles of today. Each one leads a diocese. Special types of bishop are archbishop, cardinal, and pope (who leads the whole Church).
Priests are co-workers of the bishops and can lead a parish. A special title for a priest is monsignor. Priests are called presbyters in the Bible.
Deacons assist the bishop and priests in the celebration of the Eucharist, in the distribution of Holy Communion, in assisting at and blessing marriages, in the proclamation of the Gospel and preaching, in presiding over funerals, and in dedicating themselves to the various ministries of charity.
This hierarchy is how Jesus and the Apostles set up the original Christian Church.
With love in Christ.

I wish I could draw you a chart, but let's see how I do with words:
Before one is ordained a priest, a man spends some time as a deacon. (There is also an order of married deacons, which isn't the same thing.) Once a man is ordained a priest, he can receieve different titles or be elevated to different positions.
Positions: pastor (leader of a parish), associate (priest assigned to a parish but not in charge of the parish), bishop (leader of a diocese, "boss" of the local parish priests), archbishop (leader of an archdiocese), pope ("boss" of the bishops)
Titles: Monseigneur (honorific title, means little nowadays), Cardinal (more of a title, except with it comes the responsibility of electing the pope). Titles are independent of position.
There is also a difference between being a diocesean priest and a priest of a particular religious order. Religious orders (Jesuits, Dominicans, Franscicans, etc) have ranks within each order, but I don't know how that all works.

Let me give this a try. I am answering from memory, so I could be wrong.
1. Deacon
2. Priest
3. Bishop
4. Archbishop, which I believe is just being bishop over an arch diocese
5. Cardinal
6. Pope
There are titles like Monsignor, which are not steps, but honorary titles.

It depends if are referring to a Religious Priest or Diocesan Priest.
A Religious Priest is a member of a religious order, like the Franciscans, Dominicans, Jesuits, etc. Generally the stages of a priestly vocation in a religious order are:
Inquirer
Postulant
Novice
Brother
Deacon
Priest
Father Superior
Superior General
Bishop
Archbishop
Cardinal
Supreme Pontiff ("Pope")
A diocesan priest belongs to a diocese, and answers directly to the local bishop, versus the religious priest who answers to the Father Superior. The stages of the diocesan priest is generally as follows:
seminarian
temporary deacon
priest (a priest can be a parochial vicar (pastor), assistant pastor, or in residence at a particular parish).
monsignor
bishop
archibishop
cardinal
supreme pontiff, holy father the Pope.

I'm not sure, but I know that you don't HAVE to be a gay pedophile, even though it was a remarkably common occurrence.
