I have been growing my locks for over a year now. I have fine hair to begin with, but for the past several months they have been thinning out really bad. Some of them are so thin, I could pull them out with no effort.

I guess I should mention that the reason it's falling out is due to stress. I'm working on removing the stress as much as possible. My hair is just looking really weak and dull now. I'm really scared because this is the third time I've tried to grow locks I've gotten them to be a little above my shoulders, and out of the blue in less than two weeks they were falling out to the point I had to shave my hear off.

Does anyone know of any products I could use to get it healthy again?

thanks

eat more protein like eggs, chicken, turkey. I don't have dreads but i have been wanting to get my hair permed and the beautician told me that my hair is to weak and breaks to easily... she also said that although eating more protein wont do much for the hair that's already grown out it will help in the future.. she puts on an Aloe Vera conditioner which has helped drastically with my breakage

switch back to your normal hair for a while. Maintaining dreadlocks for a long period of time can be stressful to your hair and scalp

so i suggest going back to your regular hair style and switching to a hair strengthening product such as garnier shampoo and conditioner for about a month or so, once the thinning stops you can continue to go with the dreads.

if that doesn't help go to your local stylist, they'll be glad to help.
