I have this guy that really likes me and asked me to go with him. My mom and dad think i shouldn't because he's older and because i might get pressured to do things that i will regret later on. But I think i'm mature enough to have a guy and take care of those responsiblities myself and if i would need help i could ask them. I also think that i am not so easy to give in and that if i am pressured to do tose things i would not do it or break up with him. What do u think?

I would not let you date a guy that age. There is a huge difference between being 12 and being 15, even if it doesn't seem like it to you now. He is probably not incredibly mature, but he is most likely alot more mature than you.
At 12, you should more worried about school and friends than dating, while at 15 all they think about is dating and sex. Even if you aren't "easy" as you put it, it is still inappropriate. You shouldn't even be kissing at your age, it will take away the innocence that you should be trying to hold on to.
It's also pretty much a proven fact that the sooner you start getting into the kind of relationship an older kid would want, the sooner you start making out, the sooner you start having sex, the sooner you start getting in trouble, and the sooner you get pregnant.

cherish these years, because once your older and dating and sex become your main prioty your life will be much more chaotic. If you get into now - you'll regret it later.

I understand how much you want to go out with this guy but go with your parents on ths one. I have been in a similar situation and trust me you will be so glad you didn't go out with him right now. I know you think parents tell you no because they can or because they don't trust you or whatever. The reason parents tell you no is because they have had enough life experience to know what will work out and what won't. Your parents love you very much and your Dad has been a 15 year old boy which gives him the upper hand in understanding them. So trust your parents. You are still young and dating is a pain in the behind anyway so put it off a little longer. Have fun with your circle of friends and if this guy is one of them that is ok. You can still have fun at ball games, school dances and that kind of thing. 12 is a frustrating age because your not a little kid but you aren't quite a teenager so don't complicate it anymore. If guys are asking you out already you are probably gorgeous and you will have many more ask you out when the time comes that your parents will let you date. Have fun.

i know how it feels when you parents say no and you jus dont understand im 19 and not a parent yet. your age is not that far apart from eachother but your maturity level is even if you think your ready your not. 15 year old think way diferently then 12 year olds you'll see this in a couple of years, your better off staying with guys your own age. as you get older around 16-18 the three years thing wont matter. dont try to grow up so fast boys come and go you'll be over this one soon

Hell no. Not at 12 with a 15 year old. You don't wanna be too reserved, but hold back a few years. Me and my childhood friend liked each other when she was 14 and I was 17, a lil under 3 years age diff. but I still didn't go for it cuz I thought she was too young. HS senior and a freshman, I look back now and think I should have.... but it would've never crossed my mind at 15. That might even be criminal for the 15 year old, here in WA, a 16 year old at my high school got jailed for doing a 12 year old.

Baby girl you have your whole life to date. Why are you so eager to have a boyfriend. If I was your father I would try and stress to you the importance of loving yourself before someone else. And you probably wouldn't be dating this guy. You're only 12 years old no offense but you're just a baby. Try to stay a child as long as you can baby girl because in the real world and real world relationships things are much more complicated than your crush. Hope you make the right choice

Often, when i see a situation from the outside looking in, i believe i have the strenghth to make the best decision. Only to find once the view becomes reality, I find, I was in no way prepared, or matured enough to allow myself in the situation at all. My thoughts for your situation would be, if enough effort is applied toward building a closer relationship with your parents you may one day find, you all agree in your views. Depending on what is included in dating for you, would determine whether or not i could give a yes or no answer. However, friends with the boy, may be a title, more likely acceptable.

If I were your parent I wouldn't let you date at all!

If you want to have a boyfriend that walks you to class or calls you on the phone, that would be fine with me. But as far as hanging out together outside of school, you would need to be in high school first. That kind of relationship is just too mature for a 12 year old kid.

Of course not! You are too young to be thinking about dating first of all. Concentrate on getting your education...boys come later on in life. He probably will take advantage of you anyway after he brain washes you into thinking he LOVES you! My mom didn't approve of me dating until I was a senior in high school about to leave for college!

No you are too young to date, and a guy three years older at your age is too old.

You asked.
