My 04 did the same thing. They said it was something about Jeeps being notorious for - something I can't remember right now but it had something to do with the gas line or filter or something like that. I heard about this product called BG44-K that is used like a gas treatment & it will keep it from doing it again but I haven't tried it yet (because I keep forgetting & after they fixed it it's never done it again.

Don't listen to the first 2 guys - Jeeps are not chrysler products chrysler just owns them now & that may suck but RUBICONS RULE!!!!!!!!!

Your 06 Rubicon is under the manufacturers warranty and you should not let anyone else repair the Jeep until you have them look at it.

Is the air conditioner or heater/defroster on when this happens? If so, then this is normal. The compressor will increase the RPMs. I can't imagine a Jeep Wrangler having something wrong with it of this nature, when its this new.

Gawd why did you buy a Chrysler car? Jeeps are just basketcases anymore. I've heard of this happening before. Ithink it's a problem that has had a recall issued. Haul it back to Jeep and get them to fix it free. Then sell the blasted thing and get a decent SUV.

Throttle detent solenoid. It should be under warranty.

the throttle up in the engine is probably sticking. has nothing to do with the pedal.

if you really want to solve your problme, buy a japanese car. jeeps break down like nobody's business. in short: they suck at working.
