i've been married for five years, we get along great, we have even learned to fight without to many "cheep shots". we have one daughter of our own, another on the way, and we had basically adopted our five year old niece. we'er a growing happy family. laugh together play together, cry together.. but lately, i've been really depressed, i know i am pregnant, and that likely has alot to do with it. most of it centers around my mother in law (who i love she's a nice lady) but its like, she's decided to be the mom of my family, and i am a stay home mom, and what else do i have but to take care of my family? she's constantly trying to take my daughter, (not my niece who lives with us) saying she's trying to help relieve my burden, well then why did i have kids at all? i know she just wants to help so i just ignore it, but today when my husband came home from the dentist, i offered him some warm soup to eat, he declined, his mother two seconds later, offered him, warm soup, he thanked her and

i was left kinda feeling like the odd man out. it hurt my feelings quite alot but i don't feel like i can voice it to anyone. i want to be a happy family, i want to love my inlaws because their good people. they live near us though, so we see them quite alot, they call me if they haven't seen the children in a few days saying i need to bring their babies back. lately.. all i want to do is leave, move away, i know that hurts my husband, he loves his family.. I just don't know what to do anymore.. i feel like i am the breeding stock and not needed for much else..

Most of it probably is pregnancy hormones but that doesn't help with the feelings, does it? Sit down with your husband and talk about how you're feeling. Hopefully then the both of you can approach his mom with a plan to help alleviate the tension you're feeling right now.
