Yes, there is a such thing as committing adultery in your heart, whether or not you are married.
Matthew 5:27-28 addresses this very question: "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
Very good question. Lust is lust, and looking at a woman with impure thoughts, in God's "eyes" is tantamount to sleeping with her. Hope I was able to help.

A person commits adultery when he or she wants woman or man. Matthew 5:28 The same holds true when a married person gets rid of their wife or husband and that person hasn't been unfaithful to their husband or wife. Mark 10:11-12
