I LOVE mangoes, but they have to be just perfect. It can be hard to find a perfect one. I like to eat them at just the right level of ripeness, when they are tart and sweet, they're wonderful and fruity and intense. Too ripe and the tartness goes away, then they are just sweet, and they taste too fruity. I really don't like mangoes that are too ripe.

They are sort of like a combination of peaches and oranges. When ripe, they are very juicy and soft, like a good peach. The flavor has a lot of citrus to it. They are absolutely wonderful! The seeds are very large and flat. If you buy them in the grocery store, let them sit out at room temperature to fully ripen. And, be sure to have plenty of napkins nearby to sop up the juice!

Ohhhh, they are fabulous! They are very sweet, when they're ripe. You do not eat the skin. The inside is very tender and juicy, again, when they are ripe. You know it is ripe and ready to eat when it is a bit soft and gives to gentle pressure.

They are very good but I don't know how I could describe it to you. They have their own taste and I can't compare it to anything else to explain it to you.
