I sleep MOSTLY on my side but have been waking up on my back, and this is causing me pain. I have a side-sleeper pillow now, can't recall exactly when I got it, but it's not ancient or anything (not new though either). I am currently experiencing a seriously painful knot in my back muscles, located near the left shoulder blade (so upper back, on left). Any suggestions of which pillow to try? (We're going tonight to get it)

Try one of those full-body pillows, or if you are really prone to rolling onto your back, one of those but with a regular pillow in the small of your back as well.

i also am a side sleeper and used to wake up with headaches and arm numbness...after trying many different types of pillows from firm to soft to everything in between i went and spent $60 on one of those memory foam ones, the type that mold to your body and it is the best 70 i ever spent
