What type of acting is it you wish to do? Big screen? TV or stage? My recommendation is to take acting classes. If you are a teen or soon to be teen, enroll in evening classes at your local communty college. Study English Comp. and Rhetoric as well as drama. Get a voice coach. Learn to sing, dance and play a musical instrument. Learn to read sheet music proficiently. If you are in high school, audition for the talent show and the various plays your school presents. Read, read, read and study! Acting is actually a lot of work, most of which, the audience never sees. During the summer months, sign up for acting camp. The North Coast Reportore in San Diego, Ca. has a great 2 wk day camp throughout the summer. A number of their "students" get picked up for various productions such as Disney and Nick.

If there is a community theater in your town or nearby. Get involved. There are so many opportunities in community theater back stage and you would have the opportunity to try out for their plays. Also get some pointers from the actors already involved. then go from there
