I've never been with somebody I didn't eventually cheat on. After I fell in love for the first time, and we got split up, I cheated on them. It tore me apart for ages, and yet I still do it everytime I start getting into a real relationship.
I'm finally with somebody I can care about again but I still can't help feeling there might be something better. I always feel this way. At first, it's nothing but love and passion and wanting to be with them forever and then a few months down the line....I never think we belong together. Why? and how can I stop this?

I would like to point out to the ladies here that I am not talking about having sex with other people. I'm talking about having actual feelings for other people and the fact that my feelings disappear. Please try to refrain from being so judgemental.

Everybody is not meant to be married or in a committed relationship. Don't let tradition make you miserable. We see the couples on TV, in movies and in our day to day lives operating like they are happily married - you begin to feel that is something you should have. Well all that glitter isn't gold. You should be honest with the women up front letting them know that you are not interested in committment. Be man enough to handle the fact that they are going to date other people and you are too. If you decide you want to committ then do so. If for some reason you can't uphold your committment, then let her know. Most men that cheat simply want their cake and eat it too. You want this woman to be all committed to you so you can be showered with all the love and attention but you want variety. I've heard the story too many times before. It's simple, don't committ if you can't uphold it. We committ to our jobs because they have a huge benefit - they pay the bills. If you don't see enough benefits in the woman - don't committ. Don't underestimate women, there are many women out there that can handle being lovers, friends, phone buddies - whatever you want. You just have to learn to be honest with yourself and with the woman to avoid the deception of cheating.

I'm like this too. I eventually start hating the person and make fun of them behind their back. Evil huh? Oh well. Eventually you'll find the one who you can't live without and he'll take this feeling away. Maybe you're putting too much pressure on yourself. I felt like I HAD to stay w/ him, or I didn't want to hurt him. But staying w/ someone that likes you a lot and cheating or talking smack is just going to hurt them and karma will come back to you. I think we have a long road ahead of us. It'll all work out for the best though. Good luck on finding the one.

why must we shoot ourselves in the foot?? I've done it too.
Well, not cheated but have done things or said things I wish I hadn't.
Maybe you just don't want to settle? Maybe you feel like there is that one person who is just right for you and noone measures up.
I hope the right person comes along that in your heart you would feel that cheating on them would be the last thing you would want to do to them. Scary isn't it..to give your ALL to someone. Myself, I would think it would have to be a VERY SPECIAL man for me to take that leap of faith and commitment..yikes.and it wont be just ANYBODY.. So I completely understand.
GOOD LUCK AND i WISH YOU MUCH HAPPINESS :)
