my boyfriend has just gotten upset at me because i was going to a party and my mother doesn't want him to go if i was going....and he got upset at me....why? and now i am not even going...also can you tell me a way to make him stop being upset...like somthing i can say or do? Please help...and thank you

If he is your boyfriend its because he wants to be with you. He might have been worried you would hang out with other guys too.
If I had a girlfriend and her mother didnt want me going where she went I would be upset also.
Is there a reason she doesnt like him? Maybe he should spend some time at your house with you so mom can get to know him better.

You must be very young. There is no way to make your boyfriend stop being upset. Your mother senses something about that boyfriend that made her stipulate you had to go alone. Now, he's made such a fuss that you're staying home?
Did you want to go to the party? Are you engaged? No? Going steady? No. Then I think it wouldn't end the world if you went to a party without him. He must not trust you - because people go to parties sometimes just to relax and have a good time.

now, im no expert but it miiiight help if an outsider takes a look...Well, put yourself in the situation: have all of your friends ever gotten invited to a party and you didnt? And can you imagine if someone told you that you couldn't go? Thats probably what your boyfriend is feeling right now. I mean, think about it: how would you feel? He really shouldn't be upset with you. It's not your fault that he's not going to the party but he's probably jealous. #1 that you're going and he's not and #2 that maybe other guys will be there that he doesnt want to hanging around with? or maybe its people that he doesnt really like hanging with you. Maybe he doesnt want you to to be flirting with other guys. It's just a guess. There could be tons of reasons why he's mad. I think he just needs a little attention from you. If i were you i wouldnt give in to not going to the party. You're young! live a little and dont miss out on hanging out with your friends just for him. If he's really going to be that upset then maybe you gotta talk to him and say "i really want to go to this party and ill only go for a little while if your that upset. But i promise we can go on a date that weekend." Make sure he knows that you like him but you just want to go out and have fun. Why dont you go out to dinner before hand or maybe go to the movies the next night. You could always go out to breakfast, i mean who doesnt want pancakes to cheer them up? Let me know how it goes. evidently he may be upset because guys are real into themselves and think that if your with them, your world should be all about them. there's nothing you can do or say to make him quit being upset. One thing i learned along time ago is you can't control how someone feels or reacts. he's probably still upset because you wanted to go even though you didn't--he's being a baby.

ok first off he needs to realise why mom doesnt want him there DUH but also i can see why he is mad if you like him you shouldnt go to a party without him its disrespectful and as far as you wanting to know what to say to him to not make upset is that you would not want to go somewhere with out him because you would be upset if he went to a party without you girl you know that would not fly if he told you he was going to a party without you because you would probably trip i know i would so you should figure out what mom will let you do together to spare everyones fealings!

He's just jealous he can't go with you. There also migth be a little bit of 'ooh what if she cheats on me?' Believe me, no matter how much you trust your partner, it always goes through your mind, no matter what
