she should eat a balanced diet, following the food pyramid. for her to healthily gain weight she should increase the amount of whole grains and maybe add some extra healthy fats like peanut butter, other nuts, milk and yogurt.

basically any food with a high calorie count will help her gain weight, but it is important for her to eat a balanced diet so she doesn't end up with a vitamin deficiency.

Protein bars might help. They are easy to eat on the go and they help with healthy weight gain. There are so many different kinds out there, chocolate, peanut butter, fruit flavors. You can find them almost anywhere from Costco to Trader Joe's.
When I was pregnant and not gaining weight this is what my doctor told me to eat.

Bread and any food with starches or high fat. If she is healthy then i wouldnt' worry. Force feeding can make her sick and unhealthy. I have a friend who is 84 lbs. and she is 18 years old. She's entirely healthy and eats everything in sight... she just can't gain wieght. That's just how some people are naturally.

I am not sure of exactly what foods but try Carnation instant breakfast. It has a ton of vitamins and minerals and is full of calories. It is fairly inexpensive and if you give it to her once or twice a day, I GUARANTEE she will gain at least a little bit of weight.
