Are afraid to tell others the reality of hell?
I see some answers on here that say we are only saved from our "sin" but we are saved not only from our sin, but more importantly hell! Sin sends us to hell, if we are not forgiven and redeemed through Jesus Christ! People need to know the seriousness of sin and hell--, that sin leads to death (hell which is the second death as Revelation describes it)
Many can be ok in sin, thinking they don't need Jesus because they love their sin but they need to know exactly WHAT the consequences of sin are! Do you agree?
I just notice how hell is not spoken of very often, as if people are afraid to scare someone off...but remember it is the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ that saves us! And by leaving hell out of it, you are taking away the main point of the gospel and why Christ died and rose again! Romans 10:17 says "Faith comes from hearing, and by hearing the word of God" --The word is Jesus Christ! The Gospel!

Canseco, EXACTLY! I meant to share about the love of Christ without leaving out the major part of WHAT we are being saved from. Some people just tell others about the peace and love and joy we receive from Christ, and that is good, we do receive that, but many do not understand "salvation" if they do not know what they are being saved from. So you see, by showing them we are all destined for hell, we deserve it, then explaining the love of Christ and what HE DID For us, that gets to their conscience--knowing they sinned against God, and need Him, it makes us greatful! Because there is no greater love than that of Jesus Christ!

Remember how Jesus shared the truth? He told people about sin and hell, and then explained what would set them free-
He took God's law, and used it as a mirror to show sin, that we all have sin- and then explained the consequences of sin---then comes the GREAT LOVE He had for us, in that he died and rose again and He did not have to! By sharing this with people, that IS LOVE! To care enough to warn someone about the road they are headed down, that IS LOVE! Think about it...Just as Christ loved us, we should too love others and not be afraid to share His wonderful gospel~

I understand where you coming from.I think it is very important to tell people about the consequences of sin and what will happen if people reject our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says that those that don't believe in the Lord Jesus Christ will be eternaly separated from him ( Hell). I think what is more important is to talk to them about the love and mercy of Jesus Christ and what he has done for us at the cross. The Bible says that "love covers multitudes of sin". If you talk to them about Jesus's love in love and how they can be forgiven of their sins, they might just accept in Him in their hearts. But if you stick hell down their throats they might think you are judging them for their commited sins. The world is not looking for people to tell them that they will go to hell if they don't received Chist ( which they will if they don't believe). The love of God is what draws us to Christ and not His wrath upon humanity. His loves draws us to him, Iam a witness to that. Before I met Christ I found out about His love than anything else that the Bible speaks about. We have to speak the gospel in love following the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

I'm not afraid of hell - because I don't believe in hell. I also don't believe in your Jesus or Trinity or in your idea of God.
So why would speaking about hell scare me?
Are you sure the true importance of Christianity is being saved from hell? That it's more important then being forgiven from your sins?
That sounds like a scare tatic to me. You should be repenting out of love for God and a desire to do his will. Not because you are in fear and you don't want to suffer eternally.
Many don't talk about hell because they concentrate more on preaching their love affair with God then concentrating on the idea of hell.

Frightening or coercing someone into accepting the FREE gift of God's grace is not a means of salvation condoned by the Word of God. The importance of salvation is in the righteousness of loving God, not in the freedom from an eternity of damnation.
Hell is but the absence of God, therefore it goes without saying that if your are not with God, you are without Him. As Christians we are to draw people to God with His promise of grace and love, not herd them into Heaven with the hounds of Hell.
Fire and brimstone sermons are meant to get luke-warm, fair-weather believers back on track and motivated to live a truly Christian life. They are not for the ears of non-believers.

I'm not if you really want to know... here we go: The reality of the hell realms are that there are various ones, there are cold hell realms and hot hells...
If the mind is soaked in anger, hatred, haughtiness and arrogance... you just might get to take a rebirth in one... unless you can subdue such thinking and cultivate wisdom and altruism, etc.
The descriptions of the hell realms are rather shocking... like the one where you're torn apart bodily and suffer all that pain and fall down until a voice tells you to get up and you do, and the torture starts all over again... and then there's the one with the metallic floor that's hotter than anything known and you have to walk across it until your legs burn off to stumps and then regenerate and you're chased back across it again, driven in herds like animals, running, hoping to find a cool spot... also there's the one with the floor like razor blades if I recall correctly... shall I go on?
Let's just say it's far wiser to try to spend time cultivating our own minds to being of the sort that doesn't wind up in such rebirths...

Death is the ultimate price for Sin. We sin therefore we die. That's IT. There is NO HELL. God isn't a bank. We don't paying! If you want to know where we go after we die, I think God said it best, when he said "Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust." If our names are written in the Book of Life is another story. Don't you realize that this notion of a three headed, unamed torture bent God is driving people away from him. You are giving God a very bad rep. May he forgive your ignorance and smite that horrid Dante.

If God is love how can he consign his creation to eternal flames? Think about what hell would be like. Could you send your child to hell for ETERNITY? The whole concept is sickening.

I guess some people are reluctant to bring up hell because they realize how ludicrous the whole idea of hell is. I guess you have no problem with having fear of an imaginary place.

Hell is a very stress-filled topic.
Must I ponder on Hell to get to heaven?
I don't think so.

Hell doesn't exist, and you can't prove its existence. Pretty sensible that evangelists don't mention it; scare tactics only work on children, and they usually see through them eventually.
