I broke up with actually but it wasn't because I wanted to do it. I just think he isn't ready for the type of relationship that I am. I don't want to get married yet, but I don't want to be single and sleep around either. He says he wants to try to be single and see how it feels. He isn't sure if he has made a mistake with breaking up (he wanted it too when it did happen). But yet he says stuff like "If I wanted to break up with you, I would have done it myself.".

I want to wait for him, but I also don't want to push him away by telling him that.

I can understand his want to be single and not be 19 and go from now till the day he dies being married. I wouldn't have wanted that either when I was 19. But I also dont want to lose him.

I dont know what to do?

I would love a casual relationship where we can be friends and hangout. Maybe date. But where he has his freedom, which he did have before..but whatever. Any ideas? Suggestions?
Am I wasting my time?

no, i understand. don't sleep around, you have higher standards and good values, just be nice, talk when he calls don't seem too eager or desperate. do not call him, be cool,do not ever ask him if he's gone out with anyone else! if he asks you out--go of course, but let him do most of the talking, give him space, be different from other women he sees.

just give him some space, everything happens for a reason you may feel like he is the one but doors open everyday. the space may be needed for Mr. Right think of it positively. He may walk in anytime and boytoy will lose out.
