If broken glass what kicked on to a lawn, could the glass sink into the ground over time, ( factors such as snow, rain etc. which would make the ground somehow consume the glass )?

No. Glass actually takes 1,000,000 years to decompose.
However, rain and snow could actually bury the glass deep into the ground.

its possible. if it rained and the ground softened up im sure the glass could get get pushed down into the soil. also the grass could just grow up around it.

if i were you though, i would not go walking around barefoot in that area, banking on the fact that this will happen soon.

dirt - could - cover the glass - BUT - could also leave it exposed - which would make for a nasty cut

I would try to get as much up as I could -

cause I am a barefoot boy! with shoes of tan
