You will prob have to leave him in when you are going out and kick him out when you get back! Otherwise he is going to get run over when he starts running after the bus!
Our cat used to always follow us when we took the dog for a walk, and as that often meant crossing a busy road we would have to try and shut him in the house! The dog died 2.5 years ago though and he hasn't tried to follow since!
Please note - I am not suggesting you die to save your cat from being run over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck with the crazy cat!

Well my guess is that he is super attached to you and doesn't want to be alone. If he is an indoor cat, try not to let him outdoors because they will begin to crave going outside and sneak out when your back is turned at the door. If he an outdoor cat i suggest getting a leash and harness for him at Petco or Walmart and take him for a walk. It would be fun for both of you.

My cat once followed me for a mile, I just let her. You cat only wants to be with you! (Plus, the image of a cat following somebody onto a bus is really, really cute. Kitty trotting down the aisle, kitty getting a window seat... aw!) Sorry, I don't know how to stop cats without scaring them away.

When i was at school, my cat used to follow me there every morning. I loved him to bits. Unfortunatley, he got run over on the road next to my school whilst following me. I never knew he was behind me. Very sad.
Please be careful if your cat is following you about and try to make sure he is in the house when you leave to go to work etc..

Maybe leave him indoors while you're away from home..
It's a special bond that the two of you share..
You wouldn't want him to get hit by that bus, do you?

we had one that done this, followed us one day to the bus stop so i had to put him in my bag and take him to my mums with me, then another day he got stuck up a tree for 2 days, wouldnt care we were only 5 mins away, but one day he just went missing :( never came back
i suggest you keep him in while your out then let him out when you come back
