HELP boy issues?

ok, so theres this guy that i like, lets say his name is kevin. i'm in middle school, and a couple of days ago we had to sit alphabetticaly for our exams, and he sat right next to me. and we just started talking, and stuff like that( we never talked before), so, anyways, now that the exams r over, we go back to where we used to sit, and he doesn't sit next to me anymore. i really like him a lot, but i don't know if he likes me like that. i'm also very shy! and i don't know what 2 do. i could ask him out, and totally embarrass myself, and then it would be awkward to be friends. or i could just 4get it all. i really need ur help

hey im in middle school too. i had to sit next to the two most annoying boys ever! then we all became friends. i really liked both of them. then the tests were over and one of them moved. the other still sits next to me and we talk. then one day a rumor came out that i was dating elijah(the one who moved). so after that i havent talk to either of them. then i explained to them them that it wasnt true. they believed me and now we're all friends again. i guess my point is that you should talk to him so more. maybe pass him a note one day saying how you feel.

Just keep saying hi and making little small talk about homework or teachers or music or whatever whenever you pass by him. Don't make a big deal out of it. Just be friendly and smile. Try to make eye contact. If he's interested, he'll make the effort to come over and talk with you when he can. Let it all happen in time. Don't rush things. Don't get so caught up in the emotion. I'm trying to say, don't make yourself suffer over this. Enjoy being young and the anticipation of crushes and falling in love.
