Wait. I may be a little blunt in my answer. Please wait.

I am now happily married (we'll be celebrating 5 years the first week of July). Neither my wife nor myself were virgins when we met. Having sex before marriage was fun! What fun!

Then came time to pay the piper. The concerns about a possible baby we weren't ready for, HIV/AIDS test, the difficulties our past love lives brought into our marriage, and the list goes on. If it weren't for God, my wife and I wouldn't still be married today.

The faster you drop your underpants (or thongs, or briefs), the less your love will trust you. Giving in to sexual temptation may just cause you to lose your love rather than keep him/her. If your love doesn't want to wait, maybe he/she doesn't really love and respect you.

The difference between sex and lovemaking in a Godly marriage is like eating your favorite food with the Flu and being badly congested (your tummy gets full, but what you ate tasted like cardboard) vs. having the best cook you know make your favorite meal for you (when you're healthy) and being able to savor every morsel until your plate (or bowl) is clean, then going back for seconds.

Consider also that many more young ladies have a mediocre or even unpleasant first sexual experience than young men. If you have a hymen, it can be very painful to break ("first time"). Most young men (and quite a few older ones too) just want sex - getting penetration or a blow and having an orgasm. Whether you are in the mood or not, whether you are properly aroused, lubricated (inside), ready for all the physical, spiritual, and emotional baggage or not - they generally don't care. To most young men, a sexual desire is like an itch needing to be scratched - and scratched any way possible - by any willing partner (or if no partner, then with Playboy, Victoria's Secret, or whatever magazine or catalog and the help of "Miss Palmer"). So, as a young lady, you probably won't feel much pleasure, if any, your first time (especially before marriage). As for an orgasm - having one your first time - probably one in a million.

Then, after the "event", especially if you break up (but even if you stay together), you'll probably have some feelings of guilt, shame, dirtiness, and regret. This is so much more likely if you don't get all the fireworks from your first experience.

God intended for us to be together sexually - IN MARRIAGE. Lovemaking is unimaginably better with my wife in our marriage than anything before marriage.

Wait. And avoid situations where sex is possible. Don't be alone with him anywhere private or even semi-private. Even if you don't give in to him, bad things can happen. Rumors can start that you have given in to him (even started by someone else - someone jealous or just plain mean). Date rape happens. And stay away from alcoholic drinks. Alcohol reduces or removes inhibitions. Date rape drugs can easily be put into drinks (or on food).

The last thing you want to do is wake up in a strange place with your underwear around your ankles and strange feelings in private places.

Wait - and avoid "intimate" situations also.

Be abstinent sex isn't all of life. If you have sex now. You'll regret it. You'll never be what you want. You have to go through so many hardships. Abstinence opens doors for you. If you wait 2 marriage ytou can have sex all you want. I doubt you will. you'll be mature enough to not have it every day. If you want to be famous or get a good job whatever your dream is. don't give it all up and regret that you had sex one night of sex will ruin your life be abstinent there are many people who are succesful when the stay abstinent. People who do it early who regret and become poor living in a box. Abstinnence opens doors to a perect life.

Look,
Don't give in and stay strong. I think you should have a class in 7th grade about sex, why it's good and why you shouldn't do it until AFTER marriage. You are like a valuable present, one of a kind. Have you ever figured out what your present was before you were supposed to get it? It wasn't all that great when you got it, because you knew what you were getting. Same with you...what if later on, you marry, what will they think when they see that you have been "opened"?

See where this is going?
Also, if you give in now, you won't have much fun when you get older, because you've already had sex, which is what is left for LATER!!!

Don't do it, stay strong!

I totally respect that you're saving yourself for marriage. Your body is a sacred thing and sharing it with someone else is a great thing. If you decide to have sex, do it for the right reasons though, not for societal norms (since it's common that everyone else is doing it at your age). Ask yourself what boundaries you have made. What constitutes as sex to you?

It can be done. I have a friend who's 22, and is still a virgin. He said to me that it doesn't matter, because he's never done it, so he's never had to miss it. I hope that helps. =)

if you want to wait until marriage then wait!
there's nothing wrong with waiting- but in today's world it's pretty hard to find a guy that would respect a choice like that, i would imagine it would get easier to find a guy you like that doesnt mind waiting later on in life.
i think that if u want to wait then you should, it is your choice..
nobody has the right to tell you that you will go to hell if you dont, its up to you if you believe in that.
it depends what kind of relationship you are in at the time, if its careing and loving and something you consider serious then maybe having sex is just another wonderful experience you can share with the person who makes you happy (even better since it makes both of you happy ;) i dont think there's anything 'wrong' or 'dirty' about it, if it feels right and both of you agree that you are ready for it then no one can choose for you but is important to make sure your not just having sex for the sake of it, because everyone else is or because you just want to know what its like- you need to have a good relationship with the guy first to make sure he will respect you and your rights and privacy and not make it weird afterwards.
as for having sex and going against what you want to do just to fulfil your sexual desires... even if u do have sex the desires dont go away... i think if you only want to fulfil your desires then maybe just do anything but sex that your comfortable with, then if u find a guy you like and that likes you for you, you can decide whether you want to take it a step further such as sex or talk to him about wanting to wait..
i think its really important that you dont go getting with large numbers of guys just to get the urges out of your system-- masturbation works just as well for some people (like sex i dont think anyone has the right to say its dirty)
but find guys that are nice, know you and who wont go talking trash about you and spreading rumours if you are going to go down that road.
good luck,
lj

Think about alternative ways to express your sexuality. Heavy petting, kissing, making out (with clear rules as to what's okay and what's not) is a good way to get going. Masturbation is not wrong or evil; it's pretty healthy actually.

WAIT WAIT WAIT it will be much better in the long run. When you get married, you know that the other person will not leave you. So wait, and it will be worth it.

I know it's hard, but trust all of us when we say it's better to wait. Stay young and innocent as long as you can. You won't regret it in the long run.
