Two days ago i pierced my upper ear cartilage and now i'm totally freaked out! I don't want it to scar or leave a kileo (or something like that.) I also did this without my parents permission so i'm kinda between a rock and a hard place. How do I keep it from not getting infected or scarred??? HELP!!!!!

Ear cartailage is made up of alot of tiny bones, You need to tell your parents ,because you could have damaged some of the bones there might be infection starting . This is not a funny matter your ear could collapse if you don't seek medical att. to it. Who knows what the hell you did to it, You should never attempt to peirce on your own if you don't know what your doing. Hope you didn't butcher your self to badly good luk!

Just clean it everyday with alcohol. Its only a ear piercing! Jeeze. Shouldve thought of this before you did it. It will hurt like hell for probably about a month. It will hurt if you put the phone to that ear or sleep on that ear. Just clean it good, every day because that spot is very prone to infection. Also if you take it out it may leave a little ring that you can feel but not too noticable. It closes up fast. Good Luck!

Ok calm down my girl friend did this. First of all you can look at it from 2 different ways. U can clean it with alcohaul everyday and check the colors if pus starts coming out or it changes different colors its probably infected and if it doesnt go away in about on and a half weeks it might be infected. Also if in one and a half weeks it is still infected what would you rather do have a really infected ear and your parents finding out anyways or u can tell them and u can get grounded for less or in trouble or watever but the main thing is dont wory cause thats not going to solve anyting is it. good luck

Perhaps take the earing out and clean it with hydrogen peroxide. The more you mess or squeeze at it, the worse it will get. Wear your hair down?! I have my ears pierces in the upper cartilage and have never had infections or problems with it. I just kept it clean. Don't freak out just don't touch it lots. Your hands have a lot of bacteria from touching things throughout the day so make sure it's clean, your hands are clean and you should be alright.

Keep the area clean every single day! Clean the area with either rubbing alcohol or peroxide to sanitize the area and keep it from getting infected.
Don't fret over it too much, as long as you keep it sanitized, you have no worries over getting a scar. Next time a do some research before moving forward with something that can 'freak' you out afterwards.

I would suggest to you to keep it clean. Morning and Night with alcohol or peroxide. If you notice anything oozing out then you best tell your parents that way they can take you to the Doctor, so that you can get a antibiotic. Good Luck
