Get a heat protectant. They can be cheap, and found just about anywhere. Put it on your hair before you straighten, and your hair will be protected.

You can get a straightening serum and use it in conjunction with a hair dryer which works pretty well. It can be expensive though. There are plenty of products on the market to protect your hair from heat damage, you just got to put out the money...

Anti-frizz shampoo and gel. Try brushing your hair the way you want it to go before it dries in long stokes.
