The pregnancy horomone relaxin is what causes all of these changes. And yes, they are usually permanent. Saggy boobs, contrary to popular belief, is not caused by breastfeeding... the damage is already done by the pregnancy. Relaxin helps your body's blood vessels expand, making way for extra blood. It also relaxes your ligaments so your body can adjust to your growing baby, and someday birth it. With every child, your body's hips will become a bit wider because once the ligaments are stretched, they can never go back completely.
However, your weight is completely up to you. I am BELOW my prepregnancy weight, so yes, you can lose the weight. Your stomach muscles can also get back to normal. Mine are! Just take good care of yourself during pregnancy, eat well, drink lots, excersize, and rest. Your body will gain the appropriate amount for you and your baby and you will be able to get back to where you were eventually.

That is so not true. I just had a baby 4 weeks ago and you cant even really tell. Everyone thinks Im lying. Im from a family where you have to watch your weight we are not naturally skinny people. I weighed 132 lbs before I got pregnant and when I had my daughter I weighed 164 lbs the most I have ever weighed in my life. Its been 4 weeks and 3 days since I had her and I weigh 141 lbs only 9 more lbs to go untill my pre pregnancy weight is back. I have not exercised but I try to watch what I eat. My stomach has no strech marks and that suprised me. I dont think my hipbones widened. I gained most of my weight in my belly. My stomach is a little soft like a water baloon but Im gonna do some sit ups and get that back. The only thing that has changed is my breasts and thats cause im breastfeeding and that change is for the better. Even if My body would have changed for the worse I still wouldnt have regreted it. Being a mommy is the greatest thing in the world.

It is very dependent on your body. I know people who have 3 or 4 kids and look like they've never had any. Some people get stretch marks, some don't. Your stomach muscles may not be as tight and yes, your hipbones might be slightly wider.
It will take at least 3-9 months to get back to pre-baby weight. It also may depend on your age. I had much less trouble with my 1st because I was much younger.
Don't worry too much. Eat healthy and exercise (if the doctor says it's o.k.).

I think it depends on alot--how much weight you gained during pregnancy, your genetics, your metabolism, and how bad you want to lose it. I lost all of mine from my last pregnancy, plus an extra 2 lbs. It seemed like my hips were still a little wider, but my mom insisted they looked smaller... I'm just hoping that I have the same luck with this one!

I think if you have enough money and enough time, you can get back your pre-pregnancy body like celebrities do. Some of them even look better than before!!!
I think for the rest of the general population, it's a real struggle and your breasts will never be the same again due to breast feeding.

It depends on your body. Some women go right back to looking the way they did before pregnancy. Others arent so lucky.......if you work out alot and eat the right kind of foods, after awhile you can get back to looking the way you did before.

I disagree about the breast sagging, My breast became bigger with each pregnancy and they have never became smaller and they are as perky as ever and I did breast feed as well, so I concur it depends on genetics , metabolism and your initial body type. If you have always had weight issues then it will probably be an issue after every child.

No its not true. You can go back to the same shape. Everyone is different. It basically depends on your genes I think. Just look at all the older women in your family...
