I adopted a cat a few days ago and she has all the signs of beginning labor. Today she had diarehha and there was a small amount of blood in it, is that normal, is she okay?

Actually sometimes this can be normal. The diarrhea can be caused by fluid and electrolyte shifts in mom's body. If she strained while passing the stool it can cause the blood in the stool. Unless it persists or increases it doesn't sound like much to worry over. Just make sure she has some type of liquid around to keep her hydrated.

No, the blood in the stool isn't normal, labour or not, you should take her to the vet for a full check up. It might be something minor but if left untreated could become life-threatening. It's far easier (thus cheaper) to treat things before they escalate.
