To become a Navy Seal here are the vision requirements:

SEAL team applicants must also have eyesight no "worse than 20/40 in one eye and 20/70 in the other eye and must be correctable to 20/20 with no color blindness."

So I KNOW the general Navy requirements are no more strict than that.

Good Luck!!!

For the most part, as long as it is correctable to 20/20 you are ok. Certain jobs require it to be no worse than 20/100 or 20/200 though, so be prepared for that.

The eyesight standard varies depending on the exact job you wish to do in the navy. For most wearing glasses should not be a problem. What are you thinking of doing? Pop into your local Armed Forces Careers Office who will be able to help.

You can definitely join, it just might limit your choices of jobs, but don't let something like that hold you back, if that's what you really want to do. They even offer elective surgeries that you could possibly qualify for.
