Try making a paste from baking soda and water. As it dries it will help pull out some of the ant venom and heat from the bite swelling. It works best when applied immediately after, but can be beneficial with repeated applications for days old bites too. It works well with other bugs bites/stings and sunburns too.

I got bitten by fire ants last year and had little marks that looked like pimples on my ankle. If you have those, DO NOT PICK AT THEM! I know that it's painful, but just wait it out.

I suggest putting ice on them and some antibiotic ointment if the sores are really bothering you. There's not much else you can do but let them heal on their own.

If you have a reaction, go to the ER for treatment of anaphalactic shock (same as being allergic) immediately.

Fire ant bites if you have enough of them will probably cause an allergic reaction. For simple care I would recomend taking some Benadryl every 4 to 6 hours as needed... apply some topical hydrocortisone and ice packs. If the itch or swelling persist or you develope fever or trouble swallowing please seek medical treatment immediately.

Went I got bit by those nasty fckers we poured ammonia on our feet & it took some relief away. Then the pus sacks come-I personally broke them cleaned with soap & water applied antibiotic ointment & bandaid for a couple of days, then let air dry. hydrocortisone cream for the itch helps. Hope this helps you out. b-safe xo Donna P
