To :Favo in UK we use deck as in ground level ..base . ships deck where it is walked on ..
we use decking knocking some one down ..KO ing someone ..knock them to the deck level ..hence . (decking )
then we have the garden decking
made of wood .to erect a platform to walk on itis cald decking..
