Sim City 4 Instalation Help?

Alright, after many days of waiting to be able to download my Sim City 4(got grounded), I finally got back on the computer.

So I go to install Sim City 4, works great, then I get to insert disc 2, do that, hit Okay, and I get a Not Responding. After many more tries and failures, when I pop in disc 1to try to install again, I get the message "Please Insert Sim City 4 Play Disc, or something to that effect.

I check, and the disc is in, try the other disc...nothing happens.

I pop in the first disc again, "Please Insert SIm City 4 Play Disc.

Any ideas as to what the heck is going on? Should I just wait a while before trying to install again? I tried cleaning the disc with a tissue, but it didn't seem to do anything.

Sorry, I meant waiting to install. I got it from Best Buy.

My computer also meets and exceeds the requirements.

It's Sim City Deluxe.

I remember throwing out the receipt...Best Buy won't take without receipt, correct?

OK a few questions of my own here to help you out a little bit

1) Is this SC4 regular, SC4 Rush Hour, or SC4 Deluxe?
2 disk format is that disk 1 contains the instal information and disk 2 is complete the instal and also disk 2 is the play disk.

2) when did you get the game from Best Buy----- has it been within a month if so return it for a new game cause you might have a bad disk?

3) Have you tried to totaly remove what you have installed allready from the first time, if not you need to remove what you did install and then retry to instal the game, from what it sounds like im betting its a bad disc that you have for the second disk cause it also sounds like you have XP and enough ram and HD to run it properly, is that correct?

you must have slow pc or buy the real cd cuz its better to have cd then download.make sure its in a dvdrom16
