He wasn't my boyfriend, just a guy I met in college whom I was very fond of. (I would have liked to have had him as a boyfriend, if circumstances had been a little different)
We'd made plans to meet and have dinner over the thanksgiving break. That afternoon he called me and said he had to cancel because he was sick with a fever, sore throat and an upset stomach. I wasn't surprised as he'd been fighting off various bugs for nearly a week before the vacation started and was a little dubious when he asked me in the first place.
Anyway we had a short conversation consisting of his broken apologies (he sounded about two breaths away from crying and that was besides the rasp from the sore throat) and my begging him not to apologize and asking if there was anything I could do to help. I was speaking in as gentle a tone as I could while still being audible on the phone. That's when he said,
"Oh..." there was a note of calm relief in his voice, "I knew your dulcet tones would sooth my head."
Though he was not, as I've said, my boyfriend, that is by far, the sweetest and most poetic thing that any man has ever said to me.

My boyfriend and I have had some really deep conversations, he is probably the sweetest guy in the world. I think I make him more mad than anyone (woopsy)... but he has told me that he wants to marry me, buy us a beautiful home together and have beautiful children one day. He said that he loves me so much and he could never find with anyone else what he has found with me and he doesn't want to because I fulfill him 100% in every way possible.

My boyfriend once told me that I was Beautiful (he looked me strait in the eye) Then he said you have a heart of gold and that I have the most beautiful eyes that he had ever seen. But the most sweetest thing that I think other people think is most comment is this 3 word I love you. But they mean even more when the one you love looks you in the eye and says it to you.

My husband and I were going through a really bad time and were thinking of splitting up...we were talking on the phone about what we could do and I kinda mentioned counselling, but I said it was expensive and it probably wouldn't be worth it...and my husband paused and then said "our marriage is worth it". I'll never forget that moment. We went to a counselling session and got back together and we love eachother now more than ever!

Well, she actually did not say it to me, but she send an email to her mom saying what a horrible creep she was because she thought she was not getting anything she wanted for Christmas (and I got everything she had asked for and a little more). She never doubted me again! The words she used to her mom to describe me was very sweet! And she still is the sweetest thing!
