Has your Surgery got a Practice Nurse or a Well Women's clinic? They should have and you can make an appointment to have a check-up.
If this fails, then if you can visit a friend for a day or two, you could then go to another surger, explain that you are on holiday for a day or so and can you see a doctor as a temporary patient.
They will see you and, if necessary, will prescribe something for your problem. Your Doctor will not know until you have been seen by the other Doctor, who will send something through to your own GP.
Other than that, if it is something urgent, then try the A & E department of your local hospital, where you would see a nurse in the first instance and where you may get help.

Your question is hard to follow, but here's what I think you mean. You have every right to request a second opinion, it doesn't have to be someone your GP sends you to, it can be anyone you want. I'm getting the feeling the problem is related to a woman's reproduction area, correct? Just because you see a woman doctor, does in no way mean that you will receive a warm, nuturing person that will understand your every need. They all go to school, some have better bedside manners than others, some are very clinical and direct. I had a point in my life that I felt the same as you, I did see the female doc, I almost felt like I had been raped. She was very stern, and rough. I drove directly down the street to another male ob/gyn, explained what just occurred, I was seen right then and examined again. Finally found the answer to my problem, so I guess what I'm saying, is that everybody is different, you need to find the right "fit" with your doctor, if it's not the one you are seeing, by all means, go elsewhere, it's your body and you have the right to decide what is happening to it. Good luck.

There are 2 ways of doing this . 1 Walk into any surgery anywhere and register as a temperory resident. 2. Simply change doctors most male doctors will understand if you want to be seen by a female for female problems. You do this by the same method providing the new doctor is taking on patients. Some hospitals have clinics for things like STIs which you can access without GP consent or knowledge. Ring NHS direct for more info.

No you can only see a GP at the surgery where you are registered. If you do not like your surgery then you will have to register with a new surgery which is difficult because many doctor's surgeries are already over-subscribed.
My only advice is maybe you should see the nurse at your surgery - there should be a nurse there. If not then maybe you should consider going to an NHS walk in centre - they will most likely have a female doctor. To find your nearest NHS walk-in centre just go to the NHS website and do a search!!

You can change surgery > You just take your medical card in to the one of your choice.
You can ask your Doctor to refer you to a female Doctor for a second opinion, make an appiontment with one of the others, go to a well-woman clinic or see the practice nurse.
You could also see your own GP again and ask for further tests! There are plenty of options and it's your body not his!
Please people don't go to A&E or an Emergency Doctor unless it's an Emergency! They are really busy with REAL ones!
You could be there hours as the triage nurse will put other more urgent cases ahead of you.

You could try to go to another GP surgery as a temporary resident, although as far as i know, people usually do that if they don't have a gp, so im not sure if they would do that for you. It would be worth ringing up and asking.
The other alternative is an NHS walk in centre. You could ring up and see when their female doctor is in. It is also your choice whether they inform your doctor or not, although it would be advisable for them to inform your doc of any treatment or diagnosis they get.
The only other alternative is to change to a different gp, which you are entitled to do so, and should have no problem doing.
You do not need your doctors permission to see someone else.
Good luck.

You absolutely do not need your GP's permission to go visit another doctor. You simply choose a new doctor, make an appointment, and go. You don't even have to tell him you're doing it. Call a referral number (your local hospital probably has one, and if they don't, they can tell you who does) and get the names of some doctors. Preferably female, since it sounds like that is what you want. All you have to do is go in and sign a records release for that doctor to obtain records from your old GP, and you never even have to see him again! Simple as that.

You will have to de-register from your current practice and re-register at a new one.
There is no guarantee that you would be accepted at another surgery of course - usually you have to go with the nearest one to your home.
I think you need to try really hard to get over your issue with male GPs. Believe me, they have seen it ALL and MORE and there is nothing, but nothing to be afraid or embarrassed about.
You do them a disservice by saying it's because they are men that you are not getting the treatment you believe you deserve.

you cant just go to another Dr hun you need to register then if they have enough spaces and if your in their "area"they need to accept you this takes about a week, then you need to fill forms in then make an appointment with the Dr
all Drs have a nurse there make an appointment with her
my daughter had to do this for moving a few miles down the road, then she moved back home after a week but our old doctor who she had been with 20 years wouldn't let her back
its not actually the Doctors in those damn receptionists
good luck hope you get It sorted

Yes you can, go and book up an appointment at your place of choice as a temporary patient. Other than than that see if there is a walk in medical centre near where you live. Or you could go to the Well woman clinic which every town has.
Best of luck
