No. And I can prove it, too.

Yes there is an afterlife. If you believe there is one, you will go there. If you dont, then that sucks because you will miss out. Jesus is creating a special place in heaven for all of us. And there is NO possible way to prove that there is or isnt an afterlife, or heavan. God told us not to talk to people who have died and gone on. Its a sin and you should stay away from that.
I would like to know the "proof" that people claim they have.

It is a common fact that energy, in any form can not be destroyed, thus when this body/soul is no longer of any use the inner force/energy/spirit must continue. I, being the optimist, like to think that it moves into another body in a more peaceful place - Some people have labeled this place heaven - whatever the name it should be interesting to see!

Yes- We are not this body,IE; race, color, nationality, religion, mind, intellect, job, etc. We are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We never die only the body dies. What ever ones consciousness is at the time of death they will attain. If one thinks of God at the time of death they will return to the spiritual abode with God. If one has any material desires they will return to any of the material planets in the material world. Upper Heavenly planets are for those with very good Karma (reaction to ones actions)there are the lower hellish planets which one goes for their very bad karma (no one goes eternally ) (that is a misconstrued understanding to control people) and the earth planet Which one can go to get a combination of both. Most people return to the spiritual world from the earth planet. This world is meant for self realization (realizing ones eternal relationship with God) for more info go to harekrishnatemple.c Read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada- tells about the Soul, Karma, reincarnation, all planets etc.

Who knows, best to always look at the present. Do your best now. people always wanna hide away under that assumption that they will do things right in the future and slack off in the present. I would know i am such a person.

Just be all you want to be while you are here. It wont be too long till you find out if there is something after this.

Well, I guess it depends on why are you asking, Vivian. It's easy to say yes, or no. But the real question is, does it matter and why?

I can tell you what I believe (which is yes), but sooner or later you have to make that decision for yourself. And it may be a bigger question than you realize.

YES!! How do I know? The Bible tells me so!

Hell does exist, but God is not desirous that *any* should perish, but that all should have everlasting life!

However, God will *not* force Himself on anyone, because He has given us *complete* free-will - we can freely choose eternal life or eternal separation from God.

Hell was created for the fallen Angel of Light, the Archangel, Lucifer, and the third of the angels (now, demons) who rebelled with him. Sin entered the world because of Satan and he is the god (small [g]) of this age, but on the day of the Great White Throne Judgement, Satan and his dominion shall be cast into the fiery pit of Hell, to suffer eternal separation from God.

Of course there's an afterlife! After you rot and decay, you give life to worms and microbes, which in turn give life to other creatures! You won't feel a thing since you're, well, dead.
Better do something memorable in the meantime...

I had rather live my life believing in god and the afterlife and find out there isnt. Than lead an immoral life not believing in god and the afterlife and then find out there is.

Romans 3:23 says "We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death" (this is the second death, which is hell)
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Jesus says:
John 5:24
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

-That is we must be born again to receive heaven, which is after this life, which is means we who believe and repent of sin, pass from death (hell) to life (heaven) once we leave this life.
So there is a heaven and a hell. And the only way to the kingdom of God (heaven), is through Jesus Christ! (John 14:6 John 3:3)
