Every night, for at least 6 weeks, rub lime juice on the darkened parts, but do not under any circumstances expose the affected parts to sunlight unless you have washed thoroughly.

I think this is a feature of one's skin. Although, if you want to wear clothes without having some kind of noticable area of darkness, might I suggest building up a natural or, if weather doesn't permit, natural looking tan. I suppose you could try one of those new moisturising body lotions which has a smigen of tan in it, so that you gradually build one up. You'll look great, and since the areas you're talking about are naturally pigmented, they won't absorb the tan as much, if you choose to rub cream on there anyway.
Hope that helps,
Simon H (I know, a guy!)

i think you should get a bleaching cream and apply it in those areas it would make it lighter than you can even imagine but that is only if you use a lot of it but to make it blend with your skin color you should only apply a little 2 times a day after shower until results start showin then you discontinue use if you keep using it you are gonna end up with a red skin in those areas worse than the dark skin you had b4!

If you have darkened skin under your arms and around you neck you should seek your doctor out and have a diabetic check up. Also to help with the current visual concern many spas have treatments lo lighten skin, yet be careful you might end up with very white skin in the treated areas.

It could just be a genetic skin pigment thing - most people I know are like that.
But, try rubbing lemon juice on dark spots for a few weeks - it may not work but if it does it will eventually turn dark again. If so you may have to use lemon juice once a month.

Try a moisturizing shower gel w/ a poof so you exfoliate and condition your skin at the same time.
Use a moisturizer w/ glycolic acid or lactic acid. (ex. Eurcerin body lotion w/ SPF or Lac-Hydrin 5)
Don't know about the armpits but this will definitely help w/ knees & elbows.

I have not much of an idea...
Well, you know how there are 'skin lightening masks' for your face?
Well maybe it could work if you just use it on the areas you want to lighten!
But don't rely a lot on my word! Google it!
