Here here. I can't stand it. I don't even read the super long ones.

I never have noticed anyone doing this. The only thing I can think of is that maybe they don't think you will go to the web site if they just post a link so the cut and copy it so they can make sure you get the info. This is just a guess.

For the most part, I try my best to answer questions to the best of my ability and will sight any sources to back my facts. Face it, some people are just competitive (want points and best answers) and lack a lot of original thought. Just ignore the plagarized stuff and get over it!

I hear you! Or when you ask a question and people give the answer to it as if it was a perfect world. I asked people what they would do if they found a diamond...everyone said they would take it to the police station...yeah...umm, right! I wish people were a little more real on here...

I answer and then paste information from links to back up what I am saying. I find people don't click on links and I like to be very clear that what I am saying is factual unlike most of the crap on here.

I agree, and what is more frustrating is when the same person copies and pastes the same answer over and over again, surely there has to be a better way to get 2 points!!

The search for the Ultimate Answer
According to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, researchers from a pan-dimensional, hyper-intelligent race of beings constructed the second greatest computer in all of time and space, Deep Thought, to calculate the Ultimate Answer to the Great Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything. After seven and a half million years of pondering the question, Deep Thought provides the answer: "forty-two." The reaction:
"Forty-two!" yelled Loonquawl. "Is that all you've got to show for seven and a half million years' work?"
"I checked it very thoroughly," said the computer, "and that quite definitely is the answer. I think the problem, to be quite honest with you, is that you've never actually known what the question is."

I do agree with you. I don't choose those as best answers. If you want to make a statement, I guess you could give them a thumbs down.

Sometimes the information they need can't come from just your head - that's why there's a "research your answer" spot at the bottom of every answer pane.

its to show those people that they could have looked it up themselves in less time than it took to ask the question. it promotes using the internet as a research tool and promotes using your head.
