believe me or not i was just like you , but i finally realized that nothing will help me not even my strong will to stop watching things like that , nothing helped . the only......... yes ONLY thing helped was that i prayed one day to Jesus and said"i know i have sinned against you i lived a dirty life , but i am sure that you still love me and want me back to your self , i trust in your blood that can deliver me from every sin and bondage " . god saw that i was saying that from all my heart and wanted him truly to deliver me and he DID .......yes he did . i no more watch such things not by strength or power but by the spirit . do not worry if it took you long time to get ride of it do not give up .. , just think about how long have you been in this and how long should it take to recover ........

That's a good question that many men grapple with every day. I used to be in a men's bible study when I went to college, and we had several studies on the sin that men struggle with. Looking at "hot movies/pictures" ranks very high for many men...even Christian men. Everyone has sinned and fallen short; it's what you do to get back up that matters.

I have several suggestions for you:
-First and foremost, pray. Acknowledging your problem and seeking help is the first step. The Lord knows your struggles, and the sooner you overcome your guilt and pride, the sooner you can find relief.
-If you are in a place such as a dorm or office, position your computer to where the monitor is facing the door/hallway. This way, anybody walking by would be able to see what you are viewing.
-Set your web viewing controls on your computer so restricted sites (hot sites) cannot be viewed.
-Get an accountability partner. This can be a friend, relative, co-worker, fellow student...anybody (preferably of the same gender) who you can confide in who will keep you accountable. They will ask you daily/weekly if you have viewed ANY objectionable material, and will help you stay away from that material.

Good luck, God bless, and I hope you are able to overcome your addiction.

First off, I will pray for you. I understand what you're going through and I think that you are very brave to ask for help. That is the first step to getting past this. I can tell you that it is very painful for you and your family in the long run. It is best that you put a stop to it now before it escalates. Because the habit only grows worse and it begins to hurt the people that you love. I wish you all the best! Be strong and faithful to the Lord! You will go blind if you keep that up. Try getting into something else, like a hobby.
