If I understood you...I think you wanna know if it's ok to go to Korea with just the renewal application in process!? well, get a re-entry permit before you leave otherwise you'll be in serious trouble when you come back.

Why don't you become a citizen. Then you won't have to worry about green cards and getting deported.
