A girl told me that she is not interested in me "in that way." We hung out a few nights ago and she later referred to it as a date. But she says we're just friends. There is some minor flirting involved. There is more to the story, but to be frank, I just don't know what's going on in her head. What I want to know is...if a woman tells you that she is not interested in that way, but still wants to be friends...is it possible that she can change her mind down the line? We still don't know each other that well and I would like to get to know her better. If I befriend her and get close to her, is there a chance for me? I really like her and I'm willing to be as patient as I have to be.

Oh, TOTALLY! One minute you can say you don't like someone then you think it out and/or hang out with them and get to know them better and realize that you DO like them!
Plus, she could be playing hard to get...
Maybe she has not decided if she likes you...
Give it a while, she'll make up her mind eventually!
~~~Good Luck!~~~
take her words at face value. if you end up being a friend it will be even harder for you to hook it up. plus you will also be hoping for something that wont ever happen. alot of people just like the attention and control in these types of situations but have no intention of ever acting on it. in this case, she is messing with your head, or rather you are considering allowing her to. i think you have a far batter chance of her changing her mind if you just cut her off. either way that approach is win win for you because if you walk away and she doesnt change, well you didnt lose anything, and if you walk away and she does change her mind then you win her. regardless you dont lose your time, effort, or affection by putting that out there for someone who doesnt want it.
If anyone could answer this question they would be richer than Bill Gates. Women change their mind as often as time will allow, every second as far as I can tell. Being "just friends" never works when you are sexually attracted.
Out there many other women. I know it's hard to hear such a speech in this time, but she won't back.
Wait for true love.
Stay away from this girl. Seriously keep your distance. It's not going to end how you want it to.
