I read that the cow's are treated like royalty. They are fed beer and grains and they actually get massages. This is so the meat is extremely tender. Is it really tender?

Kobe Beef is some of the best in the world and is so because of the method which the steers are raised. The breed and the combination of the feed and treatment the animal receives does yield some of the best beef.

However, there is a small boutique operation here in the United States named "Creekstone Farms". They produce USDA Certified Angus Beef that is head and shoulders better than the balance of Certified Angus Beef produced here in the USA. This product can cut against Kobe Beef and unless you're an aficionado you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.

Damn, it was the best steak I have ever had -- and I got one of the cheaper 'top sirloin' cuts, not a New-York strip or a tenderloin.

The next time I go to that restaurant, I'm spending the $50 bucks for a Kobe tenderloin. It will be worth every penny.

Mmm mmm mmm!
