I did go hiking through some thick woods a few days ago and I did have to remove a few ticks but I didnt start noticing these bites happening until atleast 48 hours after the hiking trip. I have a dog but I use advantage on him and I just shaved him and did not see a single flea, I havent seen any fleas in my house. It seems like I still have new bites showing up. The bites itch a bit and look like flea bites but I am pretty sure they are not flea bites, anybody know what might be going on here?

Hmm Bed bugs appear to look like little ticks, if you find them on you will it look just like you have a tick or no way? Also My materess is less than a year old and I havent travelled in a while, is it possible/likely to pick up bed bugs out in the woods?

thx

Nettle rash or hives look exactly like flea bites or nettle stings, they come up in raised bumps in the same way. I developed nettle rash from getting in contact with mould spores, and certain airborne pollen/ plant stuff. I used to live in the woods and it was really bad then.
I found once you have developed a sensetivity to an allergen, you get the rash all the time if exposed to it, and are prone to developing sensitivity to other allergens too. The best way to treat it is to take antihistamine tablets throughout the summer when the allergens are more prevalent, and to use an antihistamine cream for any other outbreaks at other times. It removes the itch which is great! Also, any spores which got on any of the clothes/coats/bags etc you were wearing at the time - in the woods - can still 'get' you. Wash them all. The dogs can collect loads of allergens on their fur, so stroking them will set you off if theyve been in the spores too.
Hope this helps.
