To what degree do women find shorter guys more unattractive?

I'm pretty much done growing and only 5'6". It kind of sucks because I know that women like taller guys. It really hurts me because there's absolutely NOTHING that I can do about it.

I try to make up for it by working out and staying strong and in shape. I work hard in my college studies to get a good job in engineering. I dress nice and practice good hygiene. Yet still, I feel inadequate because of my height. And it makes me lose confidence around women.

I've had some nice girlfriends but nothing major. One of them used to make some comments about my height, but I would never give a reaction. It really bothers me. Any advice?

I think some people also assume that I'm small "down there." I'm not though - I'm italian, and I use magnums. I'm well over the national average of 5.75".

I try to use the whole "Well if someone doesn't like me for my height, they are too shallow anyway" argument, but still, a first impression is important and when you give a negative one, you might miss out on someone you otherwise wouldn't. And I always have this negative impression with me, which I can do nothing about. =(

I don't think 5.6 is particularly short. I think the average is about 5.7 isn't it? Anyway if your ex made remarks about your height - well thats her problem! Let it go. 5.6 is an ok height.

I used to only like taller guys but then I fell madly in love with a short guy - it didn't last but it made me realise that it's shallow to think of things that don't matter!

Your height is fine, don't let it bother you - if it stops a girl from liking you then consider yourself lucky because you'll be better off without her...

I'm 6 foot and I used to hate my height but now I think life is too short to worry about things that I can't change and I even wear heels sometimes!

Over 50% of the time, I crush on short guys, like, shorter than 5'6. Just don't worry about it. If all a girl cares about is your hieght, she isn't worth your time. Don't let people bring you down. The only reason someone would do that is because they are unhappy with themselves, so keep that in mind the next time your girl"friend" makes a smart remark.

Plenty of us love shorter ones. Sex is better with people close in height. Read the studies about it. P.S., my best is with a guy your height.

Ey man, Get your confidence up... Dont be afraid to talk to taller females, lose that intimidation thing. Once you do that then you will be fine mentally, because you explain that you are fine physically.

ur taller than me and im done growing <3 lol im only like, 5'3" or so, just find a girl shorter than you, nbd...if they are that worried about your height they are just shallow butt heads anyways

my ex was 5'4 and I am 5'4...has nothing to do with height. Be confident in who you are. I also dated a guy who was 5'6...no big deal.

I once read a study where they lined a bunch of guys, both short and tall next to each other, and asked a bunch of girls to choose the guy they would want to date. Not one of the girls chose a shorter guy. Then the experimenter told the girls that one of the short guys was a famous actor. (I dunno why nobody recognized him). The girls still wanted the tall guys. Then they were told that another of the short guys was a billionare. They still chose the taller guys. One girl said that she would only date the short guy if the other guys were convicted criminal murders. I guess tall is really better.

I'm 5ft11 and i love short guys, they are much more handsome than tall guys. Tall guys can look clumsy and not elegant.
