wow this isnt that serious... when i was in soccer i didnt like to wear tampons either so I went to target and bought 2 things: My trusty super sized pads(with wings... get the wings!!) & those tight cotton biking shorts(wear these under your athletic shorts). Always worked for me and never had an embarrasing moment... except for maybe now sharing this with the world, lol.

Okay..for starters I'm going to assume that since you have a period and are in track that you are at least 11 years old..so here it goes. How in God's name do you not know how to spell the following:
Girls
only
tampon
spell
Now that has been addressed, let's move on to the question. If you are going for track then a tampon is really your only option. There are birth control pills that can reduce your periods but will not stop them completely. Get used to them and your life will be much easier...and for Pete's sake stay in school and at least attempt to pass a spelling test.

no you can't take a pill and stop your period. thats bad for you.
I ran track, im female and I wore a pad. I chose to wear the ones that have the wings and they also have those little like gutters in there to protect it from rolling off.
Chances are (this happened to me) your periods won't last but 3 days while running in track and mine were very very light. Occationally, I even missed them.
you'll be fine.

Yes there is a pill. Lybrel. It's a form of birth control and its side effects are the periods stopped in 70% of the users.

Yeah I think but I didn't do that. I just wore a pad with tight kinda like jogging shorts over it (so there's no lines or pads moving back and forth) and I wore my gym shorts over that.
It wasn't really uncomfortable for me.

There are pills to make your period lighter. You can take them and wear a panty liner.
