Don't ever propose marriage in front of the families !!!
That is a big breach of etiquette.
Propose at dinner in private or something then announce it to the families later at another dinner or get-together after she accepts.
No one should ever propose marriage in front of the family because there are always malcontents and pessimists amongst the families and you will be giving them a prefect opportunity to embarrass her or you and ruin the moment.
Proposal of marriage is deeply personal and is one of the biggest most special moments in a girls life.
You can announce it to the families later after she accepts.

Who cares what they think. If you love her it shouldn't matter who's there to see you purpose as long as you do. If you feel more comfortable doing it with no one around then you should try a more private proposal.

aww! well if you really want to do it in front of her family and yours then i suggest to bring everybody out to dinner so its really cute. but i suggest that you should bring her alone life just you two and ask her to marry you somewhere REALLY special like maybe at a REALLLLY fancy restraunt or at night somewhere speciall. best of luck!!!!!=D

take to her most favorite place in the world for her birthday and find and beatiful private spot and get on one knee and ask her then when you get back jus break the news to em together

go on a picnic with her family and get a plane to fly by down low with one of those banners trailing behind it, saying "NAME, WILL YOU MARRY ME!/?" hahhahaha
