u don't get over it, but the pain does diminish after awhile. it does get easier as time passes. the first thing is to accept what has happened, and make a new plan for your life, and not try to get that person to come back, just go with it, feel the hurt and the pain, u will need to go through a grief process, that's most important, because if u don't u won't be able to move on to your next relationship easily, u will still hold on to the hurt.

A broken heart.....not a fun thing, let me tell you. Personally, i dont really think that anyone can get completely "over" a broken heart. It just doesnt work that way. People may try to move on to something else and not really think about it for most of the time. But in the end, there's always that pain and unhappiness that some people just can't forget about. I know i may not be helping alot by saying this, but its the truth.

Sometimes, its easier to just think of it as not what it seems to be. Here's an example of what i mean. If a woman has a husband or loved one that cheated on her, she's going to be heartbroken, thinking that the love was pointless. But when she see's that true love cannot be broken, pure, uncomparable love, and when she see's what real love is all about, she'll think of it as a mistake she made, as a phase that she just has to forget about and move on because it wouldnt do her any good to think about it over and over again. In more than one way, it's kind of like 'seeing the light'....

I dont know whether you suffer from a broken heart or not, but if you do, I really hope that you understand the real truth behind the situation, and that you realize that there isn't a single problem in the world that can't be fixed. Only then will you start to 'get over' your broken heart.

Good luck, and i really hope this helps.

Every tear falls down for a reason, maybe this one is just to make you stronger. :) Yes, its possible to get over a broken heart, but you have to have one key thing to do it. You have to want to stop feeling so bad. We've all been there and survived it. It may take a little time, but this too shall pass.

Everybody moves on from a broken heart and starts over without the other person. You'll never get over the love you had for them, you just learn to live without them and live your own life.

No you can never get over a truely broken heart. But you might wake up one day and find out that it wasn't truely broken.

Yes of course you can, sometimes when you look back you realise it wasnt really love after all. I suppose it must be harder coming out of a long term relationship though, i dont know yet, well hopefully I wont have to find out. I hope that you do find the strenghth to pick yourself up. It probably wasnt meant to be.

its hard for sure...

me and my ex broke up about a month ago and im still pretty upset about it, he's moved on just fine and has a new girlfiend and everything... Ive tried moving on and ive already tried to start soemthign with 2 guys but found that it was just too difficult and all i could think about was him.

Its probably possible, but this was my frist love, so its just taking some time for me.
But think about how many couples divorce and then re marry! so it must be possible, im sure they dont all think about their ex's when theyre trying to make love haha

I've had my heart broken several times. It does heal, sometimes it can take awhile, but it does get better.
