A crush can last decades. The easiest way to get rid of a crush is to focus your attention on somebody else. Try to convince yourself that this person is not right for you because of age difference, personality difference, or just because he lacks the interest that you have for him. You do not want to be with someone that is not really into you, even if he is the greatest guy in the world.
Be more active and meet different boys. I am sure you will find someone that is definitely worth your attention and focus.
Good Luck!

well i have once had a crush for about 3 years so i know how you feel! I stopped liking the guy coz he moved to a different school. Just look at other guys and try not to think about your crush.

I'm not sure if you can really shake off a crush
but think about all his bad qualities
and maybe you'll stop liking him
I doubt it will work though
a crush is a crush, and you can't get rid of it

whoever said a crush can last a lifetime or forever... now that is one pile of BS.
a crush might last months, or even years, but NO IT WON'T LAST A LIFETIME.
a crush is too shallow to last.
A crush is about who you think that person is not about who that person really is.
A crush has to do with a lot of hormones in your body... when those hormones subside (sometime between 20-30 yrs old) you will find it much harder to be attracted to people.

I would say mostly just by not being around him.. Though if you're still around him, you will probably wake up one day to find out that you don't like him. Try to concentrate on his yucky imperfections.

Forever! But with time you usually grow into a more mature place with the relationship and it isn't so uncomfortable.
