Matthew 6
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.
29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

To a cycnic, it sounds like Christians are all supposed to be bums. But note the suggested alternative: seeking "the kingdom" and God's "righteousness". The idea is to concentrate on promoting a just world rather than distractions like "fashion" and "haut cuisine". People can get very particular about a brand of shoes, a style of clothing, a way of cooking, a type of oil or an herbal supplement. Christians don't have to dress shabbily or eat bad food, but they should be able to handle it. And maybe they should ask questions about where the food came from, who made the clothes, and how I might better use my money to build up the Kingdom of God.
If your focus is on feeding the hungry, comforting the afflicted, and fighting injustice, you shouldn't have any problem getting a meal or staying warm.

We should not worry where our next meal is coming from, where we will get our clothing, and not to worry about our drink... have faith and it shall be given unto us.
If God can provide shelter and food to the sparrow, what more can He do for us? :o) Amen!!!!

Amen! Yes, and He even speaks about the birds of the air and how he feeds them, and how we are much more important than birds to the Lord!
Yes God does take care of us, Amen! I cannot imagine my life without Him.
Matthew 6:26
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Personally, I believe Jesus is trying to tell us that we have better things to worry about and to be concerned about than our fashion sence or about what our neighbor has in his or her garage and if we need one of the same in ours.
Be thankful for what God has already provided for you and remember that all belongs to God already, not us.

So many people raving over what seems to be pure gibberish to me. I think that these people would rave over anything if someone says that god wrote it.
